HIVE-TIMETABLE-2023

No-Gi Jiu Jitsu
This is a style where the uniform required is a pair of shorts and rash guard (tight fit top), rashguards can be purchased at the club. Within No Gi you can’t grab the clothing and are required to use your limbs and grips to control your partner.

Gi Jiu Jitsu
This is a style the uniform required is a Gi, this allows you to control and submit your opponent. Within Gi there is a grading system in place which progresses up to a black belt.

Open Mat
This is a session which is for you to use the time to develop your skill set, whether that is to spar and train for the session or practice techniques which you would like to develop further.

No Gi Fundamentals
This class is all about building a solid understanding of the fundamentals of grappling and is advised that this is where you start your grappling journey with us. This class is ideal for all levels, complete beginners wanting to start the sport all the way to experienced players wanting to work on their foundation.

Advanced No Gi
This class is for players wanting to build on their game, getting a deeper understanding of the various positions, submissions and tactics within the sport. This class is recommended for players who have trained for at least 3-6 months and have a good understanding of the fundamentals of grappling.

Gi
This class is all about grappling with the Gi on and developing an understanding of how to use the grips and the cloth during grappling and maximising your tools in this rule set. This class is open to all levels.

Comp Class
This class is tailored towards being more intense and those wanting to prepare for competition. This will be a mix of conditioning and situational rounds and is recommended for players who have trained over 3-6 months and have a good understanding of the fundamentals of grappling.

Wrestling
This class is focussed on the stand up side of grappling and getting the match from the feet to the ground. This class is open to all levels
